Kenneth Eugene Swiger, 85 of Belington passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Nella’s at Autumn Lake Healthcare, Elkins. Kenneth was born March 17, 1940 in Pleasant Creek, son of the late A.I. and Valarie Brammer Swiger. Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Talkington Swiger.
Kenny was a hard-working man who worked at Badger Coal Company in Philippi where he retired with many years of service. He enjoyed being in the outdoors while fishing but his passion was hunting. Kenny was a soft spoken man who could walk in a room full of strangers and talk as if he knew them for years. He enjoyed being with people, especially his family and friends. His family was his greatest treasure and their presence were the source of his well-being and happiness.
Kenny is survived by one daughter, Lisa Swiger; three sons, Richard Swiger (Sandy), Ricky Swiger (Wanda), and Danny Swiger; seven grandchildren, Tiff &Ben, Danny, Derek, Jordon, Joshua, Jacob, Christina; six great grandchildren, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Isaac, Gaberiel, and Logan; one brother, Mike Swiger, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Kenny is preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Clemtown Cemetery in Barbour County.
