Kathy Magdeline Westfall, 75 of Grafton, WV passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Taylor Health Care Center, Grafton, WV., She was born November 27, 1950 in Grafton, WV, daughter of the late Thomas C. and Dorothy “Dot” Rutherford McWilliams.
Kathy was a proud graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1968, and later fulfilled a lifelong goal by earning her Bachelor’s degree from Fairmont State College in 1991. She dedicated twenty-three years of faithful service to the State of West Virginia in the Disability Office, retiring in 2014 with a legacy of hard work and compassion.
Kathy had a special love for cats—they were truly her favorite companions and brought her endless joy. She could easily lose herself for hours in the pages of a good book, finding comfort and adventure in every story she read.
Above all, Kathy cherished her family more than anything. They were the center of her world and her greatest treasure. One of her greatest joys was traveling to Scotland to spend precious time with her daughter, creating memories that will be forever held close to the hearts of those who loved her.
Kathy is survived by one daughter, Katie Morgan, Edinburgh, Scotland, step -son, David Westfall, grandson, William Smallwood, one sister, Cindy McWilliams, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by one son, David Paul Morgan, one brother, Tommy Lee McWilliams.
