Katherine Virginia (Shingleton) Morris

Katherine Virginia Morris, 87 of Grafton passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV with her loving family by her side. She was born in Grafton March 25, 1932, a daughter of the late Wilbert Mason and Clarissa Kirby Shingleton. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Morris.

She retired from the Taylor County Board of Education,  she was a cook for many years at Anna Jarvis School. She loved to cook, crochet, and made quilts for her children and grand and great grandchildren, a member of the Wesley Chapel Church.

Katherine is survived by six children, James E. Morris and wife Connie, Thornton, Janice Tacy, Mannington, Regina Morris, Grafton, Terry Huffman and husband Steve Grafton, Beatrice Stevens, Grafton, Ralph Morris and wife Crystal Grafton, she was blessed with eighteen grandchildren, Angel, Erica, Bethany, Amanda, Jeremiah, Holly, Justin, Gina, Sophia, Velve, Cheyenne, Jeremy, Jessica, Jonathan, Jared, Chad, Chase, and Chatera,  she was also blessed with thirty one great grandchildren, one sister, Wanda Stewart, Amsterdam, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandsons, Scotty Tacy, and one great grandson, Gavin Morris, one great granddaughter, Abigail Huffman, one brother, Leroy Shingleton,  seven sisters, Velma Goodwin, Doris Shingleton, Eileen Myers, Mildred Salisbury,  Wilma Shingleton, Evelyn Buren, and LaDonna Wilson.

Friend may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 3-8PM and on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
