Katherine "Kathy" Louise (Miller) Lowry

Katherine “Kathy” Louise Miller Lowry, of Front Royal, Va. (formerly of Grafton) passed away Wednesday November 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born February 3,1950 in Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Edna M. and Cecil R. Miller. She was a beautician by trade and owned and operated the Hair Affair Beauty Salon in Grafton. She also worked part time at the Grafton Recreation Commission.

She is survived by three Children, Scott McCartney and Lynnette, Lucinda Martin and Rick, and Shannon McCartney and Mili. She has 5 grandchildren, Scotti Brooke, Cajun, Candice, Tori and Taylor and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by step children, Carol Johnson, Scott Shuttleworth, Elizabeth Smith and Catherine Lowry and several step grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a special friend, Baard Grindal, former husband William McCartney and best friend, Linda Arthur.

She was preceded in death by two husbands. Jimmy Lowry and Karel Shuttleworth, four sisters, Ruth Ann Mahaffey Glass, Barbara Vaughn, Betty Stump and Gerri Boyle.

She will Rest in Peace at the WV National Cemetery with her husband, Jimmy Lowry. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00AM with Jimmy Johnson officiating.
