Joan Peters

Joan Peters, 83 of Grafton was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Fairmont Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1940 in Grafton, daughter of the late Adulphus and Elizabeth Boyce Lowe, Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Paul Peters, March 24, 2019.

Joan was a homemaker and cherished the time she spent with her family. She loved the Lord and went to church and revivals as often as she could. Her favorite thing to do while relaxing in the evenings was reading her Bible. Joan was a kind person and was always helping others.

Joan is survived by two children, Joanie Newlon, Grafton, and Dave Peters, Fairmont, and three grandchildren, Jacob Peters (Cayla), Joseph Peters, Lisa Bailey (Gary), and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Joan was preceded in death by, one son, John Peters, and one granddaughter, Trinity Bailey.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM and on Thursday, January 18, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
