Jerry Joseph Mayle, 81 of West Hill passed away Wednesday, April 16,2025. He was born in Grafton on September 11, 1943, son of the late Joseph Sherman and Grace Louise Barnes Mayle. Jerry is survived by his wife Marlene Ward Mayle whom he married on September 21,1987, spending more than thirty-seven years together.
Jerry worked over thirty years as a bus and train driver for the Regional Transit Authority in Cleveland, OH. He also worked many years doing landscaping, cutting grass and doing handyman work for friends and family. Jerry was a member of the Long Run Fellowship Church. He enjoyed going to church and was quick to volunteer for anything needed. The outdoors is where he liked to be most of the time hunting or golfing. Jerry liked being with people, talking, laughing and listening to, as well as telling stories. He was a family man through and through. Jerry treasured the time he spent with his family and considered each of them as a blessing especially his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by six children, Michelle Mayle, Lynnette Yopko (Don), Kelly Marie Hansen (Mike), Michael Joseph Mayle (Kimberly), Rachel Guhl (Billy), Brady Mayle (Tiara); thirteen grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Kathryn, Annie, Robby, Chloe, Cole, Carson, Cadence, Caige, Bailey, Trent and Troy; his previous wife, Susanne Mayle, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Oral “Jim” Mayle; four sisters, Eloise Parsons, Evelyn Mayle, Marda Sincel, and Eileen Ross.
Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home.202 McGraw Ave. Grafton on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 4:00-9:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Message of Freedom Church, 1008 George Washington Hwy, Grafton from 10:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with his son, Brady Mayle and Pastor Sam Myers officiating.
