Janet Faye (Newlon) Edwards

Janet Faye Edwards, 69 of Grafton passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown with her loving family by her side. She was born August 6, 1955 in Grafton, daughter of the late James V. and Alice Hose Newlon. Janet is survived by her husband Stephen Michael Edwards, they were married for fifty- one plus years.

Janet was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1975. She was a great sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was always taking care of those around her. She worked for nineteen years at Grafton City Hospital as a CNA caring for people. Janet loved spending time with family and friends. She loved cooking and camping on her free time. She loved going to yard sales and flea markets. She could always take a penny to and turn it into a dollar. She was a gift giver and always had something for everyone who came to visit. Janet was a compassionate caring person who loved her family unconditionally.

In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by two sons, Keith Edwards (Jessica), and Jason Edwards, (Tammy); five grandchildren, Colby, Isaac, Xena (Ethan), Zabra (Zachary), and Codey; five great grandchildren, Zayla, Zaneya, Zachary Jr., Cadence and Landlyn; four sisters, Linda Watkins (Ervin), Deloris Heavner (Steve), Lisa Rouse (John), and Wanda Knotts (Charles); one brother, Randy Newlon.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Walton; two brothers, Jerry Newlon, and James “Jimmy JR” Newlon.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 11:00AM until the 1:00PM the hour of the funeral with Evangelist Jeff Tucker officiating.
