James “Jimmy” Keith Hulley, 73 of Grafton passed away at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, on Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born March 3, 1950 in Grafton, son of the late James “Jim” and Pauline Jones Hulley. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ellen Goff Hulley whom he married September 4, 2006 spending more than eighteen wonderful years together.
Jimmy graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1968 where he enjoyed sports and played football and basketball. He worked for CSX Railroad as a conductor. He enjoyed traveling and going on road trips. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and making special memories. He will be greatly missed by each of them, and all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Danielle Hulley; two stepdaughters, Mandi Thorn and Cathy Shipp; stepson Justin Shipp, six step grandchildren, Tre, Sierre, Devontte, Jamen, Brayden and Kayle; and one great step granddaughter, Tasha.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Cheyla Hulley, paternal grandparents, John and Pearl Godwin Hulley, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Sidney and Edith Jones.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton from 4-8 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2023, and Friday from 9 am until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, Friday, June 23, 2023, at the funeral home. Reverend Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment at Woodsdale Memorial Park.
