James “Jim” Lee Bolyard, 60, of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 22, 1965 in Grafton, WV., son of the late Carroll Lynn Bolyard and Eunice Beverly Candella Hickman, Jim is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Carpenter Bolyard whom he married December 4, 2000 spending nearly twenty-five years together.
Jim graduated from Grafton High School Class of 1983. He worked for Ike Rinker at Ike’s Tire Shop from high school until it closed. Jim became a paid fireman and worked until he retired as a Captain from the Grafton Fire Department, he then took a job at Mylan Pharmaceuticals where he worked until it closed. He enjoyed retirement, working in his garage taking on the challenge of fixing small engine equipment or anything with a motor for a neighbor, friend or family. He enjoyed talking politics and just being able to relax in the recliner whenever he liked. He loved camping, being with his family and his fur babies.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by, four children, Brian Bolyard, Amy Williams (Jon) Tosha Collins (Jason) and Chris Price, seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Jackson, Allison, Andrew, Kylie, Caleb, and Isiah; two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Bolyard (Stephanie), and John “Boug” Bolyard (Teresa); one brother in-law, David L. Poling Jr.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, one daughter, Jessica Marie Price; and one sister, Cathryne L. Poling.
