Jackie Lee Charlton

Jackie Lee Charlton, 81 of Philippi, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Nella’s Autumn Lake Nursing Home, Elkins WV. He was born March 23, 1944 in Brownton, WV. son of the late Edward and Lucy Frances Exline Charlton.

Jackie was a handyman and could work on and fix about any vehicle. He liked to help out others by doing little odd jobs around their homes or properties. He loved to go fishing. Jackie loved to tinker and kept very busy while working on different projects for himself or friends. He was a man that never met a stranger and could talk about anything and loved sharing his memories. Jackie loved spending time with his family and friends more than anything else in the world.

Jackie is survived by three children, Jackie Eugene Wyatt (Lori), Jackie Lee Charlton ll, and Debra Sue Hamric; several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jackie is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mitter and Ruby Squires; three brothers, Albert Dempsey Charlton, Clarence “Bill” Charlton, and Richard Charlton.
