Helen Susie Moore, 70 of Flemington, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, Susie was born October 17, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Virgil William and Barbara Corrothers Smith. Susie was preceded death by her husband Toby Lee Moore, December 27, 2023.
Susie was a proud graduate of Grafton High School. She dedicated many years of hard work and friendship to Mountain State Auto and Joe Pyle, where she built not just a career, but lasting connections.
She found simple, beautiful joy in watching birds and had a deep, tender love for animals. Her heart truly came alive in the kitchen, where she poured love into every meal she prepared. Susie cherished bringing friends and family together around her table, believing that good food and shared laughter made for the very best days.
Nothing meant more to her than her family. She treasured every gathering, every conversation, every moment spent together. Susie had a special gift for making each person feel important and loved, always turning ordinary time into something unforgettable.
Susie is survived by two children, Jaclyn Moats, Jeremiah Schooley; grandchildren, Seth Moats, Gracie Coleman (Amber), Hailey Moats, Trace Schooley (Lauren), Mariah Schooley, great grandchild, Rhett Schooley; three bonus children, Christopher Moore (Chris), Keith Moore, Nathan Moore (Melissa), one bonus grandson, Chris Moore, one brother, Mike Smith; daughter-in-law, Sandra Schooley; sister-in-law, Barbara Lowe; several nieces nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Susie was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Schooley; four brothers, David Smith; Brady Smith, Kenny Smith, and Fred Smith; sister-in-law Tammy Smith.
