Grace Darlene (Plott) Haddix

Grace Darlene Haddix, 88 of Grafton, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Grafton City Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Covington,  VA. June 26, 1932, daughter of the late John David and Ruth Ellen Turner Plott. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Floyd “Dale” Haddix on January 9, 2012.

Darlene was a member of the Blueville Church of Christ. She graduated from Newburg High School.  Darlene enjoyed volunteering and working with people. Her caring and loving nature led her to volunteer in many organizations, including the Grafton City Hospital Auxiliary, VFW, B&O Auxiliary, and also a Longtime Volunteer at the Taylor Health Care Center, and Retired School Teachers of Taylor County and she was recipient of the Jefferson Award, December 2016

Darlene is survived by one daughter, Diana Davis and husband Tim, Grafton; three grandchildren, Jimmy Davis and Matt Davis both of Charleston, WV, and Mandy Davis Loud and husband Mark, Fairmont; one great granddaughter, Sienna Lynn Loud;  one honorary grandson, Lincoln Mick; two sisters, Elizabeth Ellen (Penny) McGinnis and husband Donald, Alma, AR, Brenda Vicars, Thorntown, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Haddix; one sister, Dorothy H. Fortney; three brothers, John E Plott, James D Plott, Terry A Plott.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Sunday September 20, 2020 from 12Noon-6PM. with proper distancing and face mask preferred, and on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 9:00AM until the time of the funeral hour at 11:00AM with Evangelist Ken Mick officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
