Gloria Jean "Jeannie" McCloy

Gloria Jean ”Jeannie” McCloy, age 77, of Grafton passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. She was born November 21, 1945 in Grafton, a daughter of the late Sidney Arley “Sid” and Helen G. (Whitehair) Lantz. Jeannie is survived by her husband William “Bill” McCloy, whom she married May 1985.

Jeannie was a 1964 graduate of Grafton High School. She was retired having worked as a manager at Walmart, and had previously worked at Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting for 32 years. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She was a car enthusiast, enjoyed going to car shows, and loved her camaro.

Jeannie is survived by: three children, Donna Utt and husband Wesley, of Grafton, Laura Fisher and husband Carl, of Middleburg, VA, and Stana Lambert and husband Billy, of Simpson; five grandchildren, Emily Fisher, of VA, Helena Fisher, of GA, Walker Simmons, of Simpson, and Carson Lambert, of Simpson; one great granddaughter, Naomi Poling, of Morgantown; one sister, Sara Ann Nedorolik and husband Charles, of Manassas, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Jeannie was preceded in death by: one granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Vance; one great grandson, Trevion Riley; three brothers, Gary Lantz, Rick Lantz, and Sidney “Sonny” Lantz.

At her request cremation services are being handled by Bartlett Funeral Home. A graveside service with inurnment will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2023 with Pastor Duane Keener officiating
