Glen Gordon Gaines

Glen Gordon Gaines, 64 of Grafton passed away at his home on Sunday, December 25, 2022. He was born in Clarksburg on November 4, 1958, son of the late Walter Dale Gaines and is survived by his mother Antoinette Jean McAfee Gaines.

Glen was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1976. He proudly served in the US Navy. Glen was a self-employed handyman and loved the challenges of the different jobs he would undertake and complete. He enjoyed being a member and playing music with the DBI band. Glen was a man with countless friends; he liked being with people and never knew a stranger. He had lots of friends that were really more like family to him and had a special family at the White Front. Glen liked to help people and liked to be surrounded by his friends and family every day. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Glen is survived by five siblings:  Debra Couch, Morgantown; Sheila Felix (Michael), Becky Bartlett (Greg), Howard Gaines (Krista), and Julie Royce (Chad) all of Grafton and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Glen is preceded in death by one sister Vivian Sickles and a brother Bruce Gaines.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGrew Ave., on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM and on Friday December 30, 2022 from 9:00AM until 12:00PM the hour of the funeral with Reverend Ken Tolley officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full military honors given by the Taylor County Color Guard and the US Navy Honor Guard.
