George F. Westerman

George F. Westerman, 84 of Grafton, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 with his loved ones by his side. He was born in Grafton, on December 5, 1934, son of the late Truman Earl and Louise Stemple Westerman.  He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Macel V. Zinn Westerman whom he married May 29, 1956. George was a veteran serving in the US Army. He graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1954. He worked for the B&O railroad, Chessie and retired from CSX. He was a member of the Blueville Church of the Nazarene. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and going camping in Parsons, watching WVU football and NASCAR. His favorite pastime was sitting on his back porch watching the trains, flowers and the birds. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mae Jewell and husband Perry, Grafton, Shirley Jewell of Auburn Township, OH; one brother, Richard Gene Westerman and wife Alice Jean, Independence; two sisters-in-laws, Evelyn Westerman, Grafton and Beulah Beam, Cardington,OH; by good friends, Chuck and Diann Bartlett and their families; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Westerman on September 18, 1976; two brothers, Everett Carl Westerman and Larry E Westerman; one sister, Marie Bright; one sister-in-law, Doris Rosier; four brother-in-law’s, Paul Jewell, Dallas Beam, Hank Bright, Frank Rosier. Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM and on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM with Rev.
