George Joseph Cassell, 64 of Grafton, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. He was born in Philippi, March 24, 1960, son of the late George Austin and Katherine Jean Ventura Cassell.
George graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1978. He worked as a craftsman and sold photographs of properties taken while flying his Paraglide flying machine. He spent many hours leather working making all kinds of quality products to sell and give as gifts. George was a man who knew how to have a good time. He truly enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and taking long rides on his motorcycle. George liked all kinds of sports rather watching by himself or with his friends. He loved the times that he would get together with friends and family just to have a good time.
George is survived by three sons, Jason Cassell (Jenny) Clarksburg, Chris Cassell, Grafton, Cade Cassell (Alicia) Enterprise; one step son, Jordan Toothman; twelve grandchildren, Kristina, Dominick, Jada, Izzy, Johnny, Taylor, Ellie, Callie, Willa, Leela, Trenton and Alayla; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Holland, and Coletta Jean Miller ( Frank), longtime companion, Twila Dodrill; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; his three dogs, Gonzo, Patch and Sadie.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Cassell.
