Gary Dean Peters

Gary Dean Peters, 73 of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.  He was born January 16, 1947 in Greencastle, Pa, the son of the late Eugene Ralph and Violet Irene Stains Peters.  Gary is survived by his wife Judith Wright Peters They were united in marriage on December 25, 1966, at the St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Gary retired with 36 years from General Motors in Baltimore, MD.  He enjoyed the outdoors and watching the wildlife from his front porch, he enjoyed deer hunting and duck pin bowling. Spending time and making memories with his family was his favorite past time.

Gary is survived by five children, Sheila Thacker (Scott) Baltimore MD, Kristy Keller, Scott Peters (Stacey) Canton OH, Lindsay Peters, and Gage Peters of Grafton; five grandchildren, Melissa Ayd (Justin), Debra Robson (Andrew), Laura Thacker, Sarah Peters, Rachel Peters, five great grandchildren, Hayley, Landon, Ryan, Gavin, and Hunter; one brother, Dennis Peters (Carol); three sisters Sandra Thorn (William), Bridgeport, Donna Poling (Michael), Grafton, Theresa Swisher (Chuck) Grafton and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by one brother Harold Peters, two sisters Nancy Pinnell and Shirley Johnson.

Friends may call at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton, on Friday August 14, 2020 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM, a prayer service will be held at 6:30PM at the funeral home on Friday.

The funeral liturgy for Gary will be held at Bartlett Funeral Home on Saturday August 15, 2020 at 11:00AM with Father Binu Sebastian officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
