Garnet Ann Cox, 64 of Grafton, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. She was born in Painesville, Ohio on September 25, 1960, daughter of the late Carl and Madeline K. Hair Fast. Garnet is survived by her husband, Kenneth Troy Cox, whom she married July 11, 1990, spending over thirty-five years together.
Garnet was proud to be a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time reading, cooking, and sitting on the porch, watching cars go by while listening to the birds. Garnet loved working in her garden and canning the bounty she harvested, as well as tending to her flowers. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life.
Garnet is survived by five children, Madeline Stewart, Larry Henderson (Ashley), Kenneth T. Cox ll, Kendra Cox, Kennita Cox; fifteen grandchildren, Derek, Michael, Isaiah, Lilly, Kenny lll, Brittany, Rebecca, Brandon, Andre, Kordell, Ethan,Kenny lll, Ka’Von, Ja’Nitta and Ja’Kory; one great granddaughter, Raelynn, one brother, Dayrene Fast; several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Garnet was preceded in death by one brother, Carrol Sawyers.
