Freda Mae Weaver, 86 of Grafton, passed away with her loving family by her side, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her home on West Hill Road in Grafton. She was born in Grafton, March 17, 1935, daughter to the late Herbert Castle and Eddie (Devers) McWilliams.
She was a graduate of GHS class of 1954, and the moved to Baltimore Maryland where she raised her family in Dundalk Maryland. She enjoyed working at the Dundalk Florist for twenty-five years. She designed and created beautiful floral arrangements. Freda also enjoyed her church, Eastern Assembly of God for over fifty years. Freda retired to Grafton and lived in her sisters’ beautiful cabin. She lived there with her daughter Rhonda (who took excellent care of her up to her final days) and her son in-law Raymond. While living in Grafton she enjoyed attending New Seasons Assembly of God.
Freda is survived by her sister Naomi Powell, her four children; Stephen Leroy, Jeffrey (Debbie), Phyllis (Daniel Kramer), and Rhonda (Raymond Bornheim). She has three granddaughters and their spouses; Christine Weaver (Gregory Hansel), Renee Kramer (William Greene) and Sarah Kramer (Gregory Huber). She has three great grandchildren; Brenden Weaver, Kensley Huber, and Bradley Huber. She has a great granddaughter by marriage, Alyssa Hansel, and three foster grandchildren; Jackson, Greyson, and Melinda.
Thank You Naomi Powell for opening your cabin to Freda and her family during the last years of her life, allowing her to return to her beginnings. She enjoyed this small county living once again. Also thank you to Sue Davis who helped Rhonda tremendously, allowing Freda to remain at her home keeping her independence for a longer time period. She was a God send to us. Finally, thank you to all the Hospice team who was very kind and competent. Dana Stewart her nurse and Emily Ramsey her aide were very loving and professional. Thank you so much for the excellent care.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, Friday, October 22, 2021 for visitation from 4-7 PM and on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM with Reverend Daniel Kramer officiating. Interment will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Webster.
