Eleanor Ruth (Nicholson) Burton

Eleanor Ruth Burton, 97, of Flemington passed away Wednesday September 30, 2020 at the Taylor County Health Care Center. She was born September 29,1923 in Galloway, WV daughter of the late Thomas Burton Nicholson and Icie Yeager Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Burton on March 3, 2000.

Eleanor enjoyed the outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She loved life.

Eleanor is survived by three grandsons, Greg Burton, and Amy, Flemington, Erik Burton and Danny Burton both of Moundsville, one brother, Bill Nicholson and several great and great great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, Art, Cassie, Beth, and Ronnie.

 In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda L. Burton, and one son Thomas Randall Burton, one special great great granddaughter, Brooklyn Grace Burton, and seven brothers and sisters.
