Edna Leona Flint, 78 of Clarksburg, formerly of Grafton, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Philippi on February 11, 1945 daughter of the late Shirley Richard and Gracie Evelyn Williams McDaniel, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Richard Henry Flint, Jr. March 23, 2020.
Edna was a homemaker and loved to can all she could from the gardens. She liked working with her flowers, enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, attending special concerts and visiting the SageBrush Round Up watching local entertainers singing and dancing. Edna could make a day of going to the grocery store, talking while shopping and made it an outing. Her family was her greatest joy, she loved the times she spent with each of them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Edna is survived by two children, Walter Flint and wife Donna, Morgantown, Deborah Wright, Clarksburg, eight grandchildren, Joshua Flint, Shinnston, Amber Koeger and Companion Abram, Morgantown, Whittney Flint and companion Paul Wolfe, Morgantown, Amanda and Johnny Stutler, Bridgeport, Trevor Wright, and Emily, Clarksburg, Elizabeth Wright, Fort Wayne, IN., Tyler Dillow and Brenda, Morgantown, Cierra Wolfe and Cody, Morgantown, Ten great grandchildren, Samuel, Ayden, Jayce, Jayna, Lukas, Harper, Amelia, Arlo, Hudson, and Jackson; one sister, Willa Brown, Maryland
In addition to her parents and husband, Edna is preceded in death by, four sisters, Ruth Ann Green, Virginia Edward, Betty Wright, Rosalee McDaniel, two brothers, Richard McDaniel and Paul McDaniel.
Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM and on Tuesday January 16, 2024 from 9:00AM until 12:00PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Internment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
