Donna May Glendening, 63, formerly of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the arms of her family at her residence in Grafton, West Virginia on Oct 9, 2025. She was born Donna May Pritt to Lola Griffin on March 31st, 1962 in Aberdeen, Maryland. She grew up in Pine Grove, West Virginia and graduated from Valley High School. After which she joined the United States Army.
Donna was a headstrong woman who never lost a fight of any type. She had a wild and untamed soul. She had many friends through the years. Most she considered family. She never knew a stranger. She loved to read romance novels. It was either reading or coloring in her alone time. She was also well known for her green thumb. She always had a plethora of various house plants. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing cards, watching football and being with the people she cared about. Donna collected unicorns, angels, dreamcatchers, and wind chimes.
She was extremely talented at crocheting. Having made dozens of blankets and accessories for friends and family. Donna May was always crazy at heart. She'd be one of the first people to volunteer to "see how it goes.", lol. And she'd never miss the opportunity to jump on a Harley. Donna's biggest soft spot was for animals. Her pets were her spoiled fur babies. For years, she's donated to several animal rescue organizations.
Donna was preceded in death by her baby girl Donna Jo Holbert and her sweet little boy Jonathan Paul Glendening. Her birth mother passed away one day before Donna. Her canine children Taz, Alexis and Bruce.
She left behind her loving daughter Selena (Teneha) Glendening (Kenneth Stout). Her loving stepdaughters whom she loved and raised as her own Jessica Marie Harris and Jamie Lynn Berry (Nick Berry). Eight grandchildren Damian, Zadok, Zakiya, Brandon, Jonathan, Kenny, Ayla and Oakland. Her fur baby Pistol. And the close friends whom she loved like sisters and brothers.
In accordance with her wishes, Donna will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered.
