Donald "Don" Leroy Keener

Donald Leroy Keener, 88 of Grafton, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at his home. He was born in Grafton on May 8, 1935, son of the late Arthur S. and Sarah Catherine Frye Keener. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Romona “Siann” Mayle Keener on June 16, 2012.

Don served his country in the United States Army. He had worked at Ozite and for the City of Grafton for several years. Don was also a handyman.  

Don is survived by four sons, Hartsel Keener (Kali), Bartsel Keener (Angel), John Keener (Karah), Joseph Keener (Mallory); twelve grandchildren, Tyler Keener, Bethany Keener, Connor Gower, Blake Gower, Dustin Keener, Gracie Keener, Gage Keener, Kaden Keener, Kenna Keener, Ella Keener, Penelope Keener and Hudson Keener; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to Don’s parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia “Jenny” Gower; three sisters, Mary Jo Shultz, Ruth Keener, Ethel Marie Keener; three brothers, Kenneth Ray Keener, Dorwood Keener, and Charles Keener.

The family would like to thank the Gump’s IGA family for looking after Don.
