Delores Eileen “Sis” Messenger, of Grafton, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at her residence with her loving family by her side. Delores was born September 8, 1931, in Grafton. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Otis (Alex) and Thelma Geraldine Grimm Losh. She married the love of her life John Messenger in January 1957, spending more than sixty-five years together.
Delores attended Grafton High School and retired from the Grafton Apparel Manufacturing Company, (The Shirt Factory). Delores enjoyed doing crafts especially painting ceramics. She considered her family her greatest blessings and loved all the time she spent with them making treasured memories.
In addition to her husband, Delores is survived by three children James Patton, wife Betty of Grafton, Pamela Kisner, husband Arlie of Grafton and Richard Keith Messenger, wife Judy, of Grafton; eight grandchildren, Heather Patton, Jason Patton, Jimmy Patton all of Grafton , Brandon Patton of Florida, Joseph Nestor of Georgia, John Ball of Grafton, Amanda Messenger, of Morgantown, Nancy Clark, of California, seven great grandchildren; Alexis Mollohan, Adylynn Clark, Aden Patton, Dillon Patton, Leah Patton, Hailey Patton and Cole Ball and by several nieces and nephews,
In addition to her parents, Delores is preceded in death by her brother Herbert L. Losh and a sister Ila Louise Losh, who died in infancy.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. on Tuesday March 9, 2021 from 2PM-7PM, and on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM, the hour of the funeral with Pastor Terry Osborne and Pastor Lynn Cartwright officiating with proper distancing and mask required.
