Deb Forrest Moats, 64 of Grafton passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home. He was born September 8, 1958 in Philippi, the son of the late Herbert James and Gertrude Mae Weaver Moats. Deb is survived by his partner, Shawn Shore, spending forty-four years together.
Deb was a handyman and worked many years in the community doing work of all types. He was an outdoorsman and liked to spend his spare time hunting, fishing, golfing, kayaking, and gardening. He also liked collecting coins and marbles. Deb loved the time he spent with his family and friends while making precious memories with each of them.
In addition to his partner, Deb is survived by three children, Joshua Brook Moats, Amanda Danielle Moats, and Brandon Lee Moats; three grandchildren, Jocelynn, Killian and Gendry; two sisters, Ramona Mercantino, and Robin Dotson; two brothers, Christopher Moats and Jason (Olivia) Moats.
In addition to his parents, Deb is preceded in death by two sons, Adam Moats and Brian Moats; two brothers, Steve Moats and Julius Moats; and one sister, Pamela Zinn.
Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
