David "Dave" Custer Robison

David Custer Robison, 82 of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Rosewood Nursing Home, Grafton. He was born September 30, 1940 in Philippi, WV, son of the late Roy O. and Ethel M. Custer Robison. Dave is survived by his wife Barbara Halsey Robison.

David was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1958 and was a proud Veteran of the US Army. He worked many years as a security guard. David was always involved in and with many community events and organizations. He took great honor in being a long- time member of the Taylor County Honor Guard. David was a member of the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department, participating in the fundraising events and directing traffic during accidents and fires. He was always on call for his community and friends.  

Dave is survived by, one brother- in-law, Norman Halsey (Donna), two sisters -in-law, Jeannette Reyes (Frankie), Virginia Taylor (Rodney), numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

 Graveside services will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery on August 15, 2023 at 10:00AM, with Chaplain Randy Jennings officiating, full military honors will be rendered by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Army from Camp Dawson, Inurnment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
