David Wayne Williams

David Wayne Williams, 64 of Grafton passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at his home in Thornton. He was born on November 1, 1958, in Grafton, son of the late Leroy and Dorothea Weaver Williams. David is survived by his wife Brenda L. Nestor Williams whom he married January 16, 1979. David graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1977. He retired as a trackman with over forty years of service with Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He enjoyed, hunting in WV and all across the country on big hunting excursions, along with turkey hunting and morel mushrooms, being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and later in life the side by side. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and never met a stranger. In addition to his wife, David is survived by two daughters, Kelly Nuzum (Curtis), Kerry Nestor (Robbie); two grandchildren, Kiley Nuzum, Lane Nestor; one great granddaughter, Madeline Williams; two sisters, Jeanie Carlyle (Jack), Lisa Jones (Bernie); aunt, Geraldine Crossland; father-in-law, Willis Nestor; two sisters-in-law, Judy Henderson (Bus),Terrie Fitzwater (Jim); brother-in-law, Aaron Nestor (Cheryl); several nieces, nephews and cousins, lots of special friends, hunting buddies, and Co-Workers. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Austin Wayne Williams. two brothers, Roy Williams and Tony Williams; mother-in-law, Patricia Nestor; two brothers-in-law Ricky Nestor and Ronnie Carlyle, one nephew Brannon Keith Carlyle,several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Family and friends, will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, WV on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 3PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00PM with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
