Darrel Lee Coffman, 87 of Boothsville Community passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born June 27, 1938 in Boothsville, son of the late Luther J. and Pearl B. Cain Coffman. Darrel is survived by his wife, Joan Elizabeth Morris Coffman, they were united in marriage June 29, 1974, spending over fifty wonderful years together.
Darrel was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Lang Brothers, where he wore many hats and enjoyed going to work every day. Darrel was entertained by feeding the deer and watching to see how many came in the yard each day. He loved his farm, getting in the hay and taking care of his animals. He was truly an outdoorsman always having a reason to go outside to work or just enjoy the weather. He loved the time he spent with his family making special memories with each of them.
In addition to his wife, Darrel is survived by one daughter, Diane Heldreth (Tim); three grandchildren, Eric Heldreth, Chris Heldreth, and Adam Heldreth (Kristen); three great grandchildren, Bentley Heldreth, Camden Heldreth, and Lillian Heldreth; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Darrel was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Devores.
Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 3-7PM, funeral services will be conducted at 10:00AM Friday, February 14, 2025 at Bartlett Funeral Home, with Pastor Orville Wright officiating. Full Military rites will be accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard Camp Dawson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Taylor County Humane Society, PO Box 4045, Grafton, WV 26354.
