Darel Beavers

Darel Beavers, 92 of Grafton passed away on Monday, November 30, 2022 at the Taylor County Health Care Center. He was born in Shinnston January 21, 1930, son of the late D.A. “Dela” and Grace Pitzer Beavers, Darel is survived by the love of his life Anna Shumaker Beavers whom he married January 15, 1955, they spent sixty -eight wonderful years together.

Darel was a proud veteran of the US Army. He worked many years for Heldreth Construction and was a sawmill worker. Darel was a person who knew no strangers and made friends where ever he traveled. Darel was a man that could make people laugh whatever the situation.  He enjoyed being in the outdoors, going deer hunting and fishing. Darel liked bowling and was on a league with his buddies for many years. He loved the time spent with family and friends and all the memories he made with each of them.                                  

Darel is survived by three children, Darrell Beavers, Jr.(Virginia) Grafton, Delores Lee Myers (Allen) Grafton, Barbara Sue Smith (Henry) Bridgeport, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother, Delbert Beavers, KY,

In addition to Darel parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, John, Lewis, Myrtle, Della, Lugene, and Evelyn.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 2020 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM and on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
