Coy David Welch

Coy David Welch, 90 raised in Flemington, and resided in Weston, WV., passed away Friday, May 1, 2026 at Rosewood Nursing Home, Grafton, WV. He was born March 17, 1936 in Philippi, WV.  son of the late Coy W. and Izora Virginia Finley Welch. Coy was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Shaffer Welch.

Coy was a proud veteran of the US Army and worked many years as a contract mail truck carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Coy is survived one nephew, Jimmy Lovett and several cousins.

Coy was preceded by one brother, Eugene Welch, one sister, Elizabeth Welch.

Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full Military Honors accorded by the Camp Dawson US Army Honor Guard and the Taylor County Honor Guard.
