Cody Lantz Dye

Cody Lantz Dye, 30, of Grafton, passed away far too soon on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1995, in Fairmont, WV, the beloved son of Jamie Richard Dye and Vonda Marie Lantz, and stepson of Greg Weaver.

Cody proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving oversees in Jordan, a time in his life that filled him with honor and purpose. After his service, he continued working hard as a flagger for Stone Paving.

Cody was a young man with a creative spirit and a kind heart. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, playing video games, and listening to music—simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He had a natural talent for drawing, and making others smile. Those who knew him will always remember his easygoing nature, his laughter, and the light he brought into their lives.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Tyler Freeze (Katie Beavers), Kourtney Fountain (Jordan Watkins), and Tamarie Weaver (Kobe Watkins); his paternal grandmother, Darlene Dye; his maternal grandparents, Kevin Lantz and Linda Poling; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Kinsley, Brylie, and Weston, who brought him endless joy.

Cody is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ricky Albert Dye.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full Military Honors accorded by the US Air Force Honor Guard and the Taylor County VFW Honor Guard.
