Carl Eugene Moran, 82, of Grafton, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 17, 1942, in Fairmont, he was the son of the late Joseph Wallace and Genevie Bernice Griffith Moran. He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Doris Turner Moran.
A 1961 graduate of Grafton High School, Carl began working at J & S Machine at 18, later retiring from Novelis after more than 50 years. He was a skilled knife maker, inventor, and historical re-enactor, dedicating over 45 years to preserving pre-1840 history. Carl found joy in the outdoors and cherished time spent with loved ones. He will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, humor, and warm, welcoming spirit.
In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by one son, Jeffrey Alan Moran (Rhonda); one step daughter, Melanie Wayt (Chris); four grandchildren, Ethan Moran, Shane Moran, Rachel Wayt and Sam Wayt; one brother, Joseph Moran; one sister, Charlotte McCartney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Alan Rosenberger officiating.
