Brenton “Brent” Scott Shaw, 74, of Glenville, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at his residence with family by his side. He was born on December 5, 1946 in Grafton, the son of the late Fred Shaw and Ruth Burge Shaw Ingram.
Brent graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1964. He served his country in the United States Marines during Vietnam and the United States Army during Desert Storm. Brent became an ER Nurse working several years in Charleston at CAMC. He was a member of the Grafton American Legion Post 12 and was previously a Volunteer with the Grafton Fire Department. He retired to the country outside Glenville and enjoyed watching the deer out the window. He also loved his four legged companions, Thunder and Makita.
Brent is survived by seven children, David Bruce Shaw and Vicki, Diana Kay Armstrong and Mike, Kelly Ann Lockhart, Charity Lynn Shaw, Angela Renee Shaw-Wells and Robert, Melonie Lynn Scott and Bert, Kristina Marie Fetty and Spouse; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; several cousins.
In addition to his parents, Brent was preceded in death by his sister, Ardella J Shaw; one brother, Donald F Shaw; granddaughter, Kelsea B Armstrong.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 10:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM with Father Binu Sebastian. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the United States Marines Honor Guard.
