Brenda Kaye (Plott) Vicars

Brenda Kaye Vicars, 81 of Thorntown, Indiana, formerly of Grafton passed away at her home in Thorntown on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born in Independence. WV on June 24, 1941, daughter of the late John David  and Ruth Ellen Turner Plott.

Brenda enjoyed traveling, crocheting and listening to all types of music. She liked working with flowers and in the garden. Brenda loved spending time with her friends and family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren making special memories with each of them.

She is survived by  five children, Jerry Vicars, Roma Thomas, Rose Guin, Ruth Smith (Wayne), Crystal Pugh, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, one sister, Penny McGinnis (Donald), and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Texas Earnest Ray Vicars, two sisters. Darlene Haddix and Dorothy Fortney, three brothers, John Edward Plott and James David Plott and Terry Allen Plott.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon with Minister Jeff Tucker officiating.
