Betty Lee Taylor, 94 of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Grafton City Hospital. She was born in Grafton June 27, 1928, daughter of the late John Martin and Rose Francis Plum Stemple. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Taylor Sr.
Betty was a person who had time and took time for everybody. Betty had a smile that was contagious and could light up a room when she visited it. She was a faithful member of the Blueville Church of the Nazarene. She cleaned homes and offices downtown for many years and would walk to work on most occasions. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, cards and belonged to the doily club. She loved her family with all her heart and considered each of them as the joy of her life. Betty was the last sibling of her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Betty is survived by five children, Richard Lee Taylor (Jane), Dallas Taylor (Phyllis), Joyce Martin, Bobby “Frog” Taylor (Anita), and James Taylor (Anita V), nineteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Betty was preceded in death by children, John Taylor, Diane Seargeant, two sisters; Johnetta Barnes, Pat Martin, one brother, Paul Stemple, one granddaughter, Patricia Taylor, one great grandson, Dallas Taylor lll, two sons-in-law; Charles Martin, Bernard Seargeant.
Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home Wednesday December 14, 2022, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and on Thursday December 15, 2022 from 9:00AM until the hour of the funeral at 11:00AM with Pastor Mike Adams officiating.
