Betty Lou Runner

Betty Lou Runner, 90 of Thornton, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on December 16, 1933 in Arden, WV. daughter of the late James Dowden and Lena Grace Spring Moore. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Gerald A. Runner, September 26, 1988.

Betty was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1951. Her first job was with St. Regis Paper Company and enjoyed being a homemaker at her own home. Betty enjoyed cutting grass, working in the garden, and growing beautiful flowers around her home. She liked going shopping and visiting with her friends. Betty was a faithful member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in many different activities at the church. She loved the time she spent with her family and friends at church and at home.

Betty is survived by one son, Kevin Runner, two grandchildren, Chase Runner and Brooke Runner. Several nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Betty is preceded in death by one sister, Deloras McIntyre, two brothers, William Donald (Bill) Moore and Robert E. Moore.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 3:00PM. until 7:00PM and on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Judy Flynn officiating, Interment will follow at Mt.
