Betty Virginia Lewis born on August 4, 1927, 92 of Grafton, passed away at her daughter’s home Amy “Penny” Dalton in Pikesville, MD., Wednesday, February 12, 2020. She was born in Grafton, daughter of the late James William and Amy Adams Hall. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John A. “Skip” Lewis, who passed away July 10, 1996. In addition to her parents and husband, one grandson, Sean Dalton, two sisters, Daisy Harris, Pauline Hall, six brothers, Robert Hall, James Hall Jr., Charles Hall, John Hall, Lawrence Hall and Paul Hall.
She went to the Garrison School in Grafton, and Kelly Miller High School, Clarksburg. Betty was a faithful member of the Warren United Methodist Church where she served on the Board. She enjoyed being in the choir, being with her many friends, enjoyed music, and her favorite dog “Kara”. She loved cooking her grandchildren's favorite foods. She retired from Grafton City Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist, worked at Baby World and Evans Furniture.
Betty is survived by three children, daughter, Amy “Penny” Dalton and husband David, Pikesville, MD., daughter Nancy Lichtenstein, Morgantown, WV., one son, Jeff Allen Lewis and wife Deborah, Chesterfield, VA. Grandchildren, Chaitra D. Dalton Bryant and husband John, Shamia Lewis and partner Monique, Tonika Dees and Domino Exley. Great Grandchildren Mason Dalton, Leon (LJ) Pough and Harmony Moore.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 3-8 PM. and on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11::00 AM with Pastor Terry Osborne officiating.
