Betty Jean Austin

Betty Jean Austin, 84, of Grafton, passed away, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Fairmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born in Grafton, October 4, 1937. Daughter of the late Hector Lee and Idella Godwin Austin, step -mother Sylvia Rowland Austin.

Betty was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1955. She retired from after working many years at WV Plastics (Baby World) and worked three years as a foster grandparent. Betty was an active member of the Grafton Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by them and all who knew her.

Betty is survived by close friend and caregiver, Phyllis Stewart, Fairview, WV, and several other close friends and neighbors.

To honor Betty’s request there will be a Graveside Service, 2:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2022 at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Webster with Pastor Joe West officiating.
