Anita Sue Bartlett Wagner July 17, 1943 – February 26, 2025. It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Anita Sue Bartlett Wagner, who went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 17, 1943, Anita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Nola Bartlett, her sister Julia Bartlett Neal, and her husband Alan, as well as brother-in-law Robert Andrew. She is survived by her loving husband Max Wagner of Parkersburg, WV, and her children:
Greg Campbell (Amanda), and grandchildren Joshua (Amber), Zachary (Lacey), Krista (Justin); Mark Campbell (Kira), and grandchildren Elijah and Olivia; Nichole Andazola (George), and grandchildren Alexander and Nicholas; Nathan Wagner, and grandchildren Nathan and Hayden.
Anita was also blessed and survived by her great-grandchildren: Alexis, Lucas, Logan, Jaxon, and River, as well as her sister, Delores Andrew and brother, Donald Bartlett (Barbara) and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Throughout her life, Anita was known for her nurturing spirit, her quick wit, and her love for her family. She also had an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, love for southern gospel music, and a deep appreciation for gardening. Anita’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and a heart full of love. She will forever be remembered for the most amazing food she would cook, her selflessness, the way she made a house a home, and her supportive nature.
We will celebrate Anita's life this summer at Tygart Lake, where we will honor her memory in the place she loved so dearly.
She will be so deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. If you have memories or photos to share of Anita or family, please send to…anitasuesdaughter@gmail.com
