Allan Ray Slaton

Allan Ray Slaton, 68, of Grafton passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Rosewood Nursing Home with family by his side. He was born May 17, 1955 in Grafton, son of the late Robert and Shirley Roger Slaton. Allan is survived by his loving wife Carol Lee Murray Slaton, whom he married on October 10, 1972 spending over fifty years together.

Allan worked at Fourco Glass and Walmart. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and fixing things.  He also like to watch Westerns and being outdoors.    

In addition to his wife, Allan is survived by one son, Chris Slaton (Melissa), Grafton; one grandson, Gavin Slaton; two aunts, Patty Tacy, OH, and Mary Slaton, Grafton, and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Allan is preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bob Shirley; one son, Timothy Slaton.

Allan’s request of cremation was honored. A memorial service with a gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 on the family farm, 894 Slaton Hollow Road, Grafton, WV 26354 with full military honors rendered by the Taylor county Honor Guard.  Online condolences can be made at www.bartlettfuneralhomewv.com.
