Robert Edward Fisher, Jr

Robert Edward Fisher, Jr., 43 of Martinsburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Martinsburg. He was born February 23, 1974 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Robert E. Fisher, Sr., and Diana and William Rosendahl, of Brookhaven, PA. 

      He was a member of the Bay High School class of 1992, Panama City, FL.  He also attended Hedgesville High School, Hedgesville, WV. He served in the United States Navy, where he spent 11 years as an AZ-E5 Petty Officer, 2nd class. He earned an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Solano Community College, Fairfield, CA in 1998. He became a correctional officer for the state of California, where he worked for 8 years, following in the footsteps of his father, who also worked in law enforcement. He was employed with Quad Graphics, in Martinsburg. 

       He was kind, intelligent, and had a great sense of humor. He loved children, and his family very much. Although he had none of his own, he had an immense love for his girlfriend’s children and his niece. 

      He was everything to his family, and will be missed dearly. 

      Besides his mother Diana, he is survived by one sister, Julie R. Fisher, and sister-in-law, Naadira Jackson, of North Brunswick, NJ; and their daughter, Chai; one brother, Peter J. Fisher, of Des Moines, WA; girlfriend, Angela Tasker-Murray and children; Andrew and Jordan, of Martinsburg. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, close family, and an ex-wife, and friend, Tina Whittington and his beloved Goddaughter, Leah Beth. 

      He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles and Louise Fisher and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Leatrice Isaac.
