Makenzie Deditch Obituary

Makenzie Marie Deditch, 17, of Grafton, West Virginia, formerly of Saltsburg, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 with her grandfather, Willard Francis “Wig” Allshouse, Jr., in a tragic automobile accident on Route 286 in Homer City. 

Born June 6, 2001 in Indiana, PA, she was a daughter of William Deditch and Nonie M. Allshouse. 

Makenzie lived in Grafton since 2001, and was currently a senior at Grafton High School. Her many memberships included The Entertainers, FBLA, DECA, Thespian Society, where she was involved in the theatre, Taylor County Academy Ambassadors, and was a former Taylor County Pageant Winner. She formerly participated in school volleyball, and was a current member of the marching, jazz, and concert bands. 

Makenzie was planning on enlisting in the United States Air Force for linguistics upon her graduation. She wanted to be an attorney for her career, and liked playing with her cat, Molly. 
Makenzie was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Shirley Shaner. 

She is survived by her father, William (Catina Bobela) Deditch of Grafton, WV; mother, Nonie M. (Ronald Knotts) Allshouse of Grafton, WV; siblings, Shannon Gallagher of Monroeville, Daniel Deditch of the Kiski Valley, Kirsten Metsger of Grafton, WV; maternal grandmothers, Wilma White of Saltsburg, Brenda M. Fox of Saltsburg; boyfriend, Jonathon Perry of Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, and cousins from the Saltsburg area. 

 

Friends will be received at the First Baptist Church on Route 119 S. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 3-7 PM and on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Orville Wright officiating.
