Joesph Balis Ward, Sr. 72, of Flemington, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, with his loving family by his side. He was born January 24, 1946 in Grafton , son of the late J. Balis and Bertie Reed Ward. He was survived by his wife, Mary Love Ward, Flemington, they were married, September 26, 1996.
Joe loved his Beulah Baptist Church family, graduated from Grafton High School Class of 1964. He was Assistant Manager for Garden Fresh and retired from Rex-Hide. He loved to go camping, and go to the mission on Latrobe St. and help out. Most of all his family was so very important to him.
He is survived by five children, Joseph Balis Ward, Jr. and wife Christine, Grafton, William Jonathan Ward and wife Theresa, Grafton, Dale Love,KY, Anita M. Bolyard and husband Steve, Grafton, Lisa Lambert and husband Paul, Bridgeport, eight grandchildren, Derek, Kelsey, Bryan, Travis, R.T., Alexis, Joseph,and Tiffany, seven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Brenda Jewell, Grafton, Patty Sandy, Fairmont, Louise Shingleton, Grafton, Ada Spencer, Tampa, FL., a great friend, Billy Croston, Grafton. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4-8PM and on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM with Pastor David Bess officiating.
