Helen Limbers Obituary

Helen Jean Limbers, 87, formerly of Grafton, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville, AL.  She was born in Grafton on June 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Roma Utt. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Thomas C. Limbers on March 21, 2015.

Helen moved to Dadeville, AL August 1, 2014, to be nearer to her son Mark and his wife Bobbie. She graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1949. She worked for the B&O Railroad and retired as a Clerk of the Chessie System CSXT Railroad.  She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling, growing flowers, shopping, photography, and talking with her many friends on the telephone. Her number one love was her family.

Helen is survived by her son, Mark A. Limbers and wife Bobbie of Eclectic, AL, son-in-law, Eddie Robbins and wife Celia of Marina Del Rey, CA, daughter-in-law Sharon Fawcett and husband Mike of Grafton, six grandchildren: Bethany Knight and husband Arthur, Nichole Fazio and husband Christopher, Nathan Robbins and wife Erica, Nicholas Robbins, Patrick Robbins, and Megan Robbins, two step-grandchildren: Blake Randolph, Lacy Anderson and husband Jesse, six great-grandchildren: Regan Knight, Rylee Knight, Roman Knight, Beckham Fazio, Bennett Fazio, and Ava Burgher-Robbins.

In addition to her mother and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Michael Limbers, her daughter, Brenda Robbins, and her sister, Patricia Michael.

Pallbearers: Nathan Robbins, Nicholas Robbins, Patrick Robbins, Eddie Robbins, Arthur Knight, and Christopher Fazio. Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Fawcett, David Hedrick, and Clint Holmes.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Augustine Catholic Church, 18 W. Washington St., Grafton, WV 26354; Taylor County Humane Society, P.O. Box 4045, Grafton, WV; or a charity of one’s choice.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 3-8 PM. A prayer Vigil service will be conducted at 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2019, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Binu Sebastian and Father Jim O’Connor as Co-Celebrant.  Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery.
