George Raymond Peters

George Raymond Peters, 83, of Oak Grove Community, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at River Oaks Nursing Home, Clarksburg. He was born August 24, 1936, in Grafton, son of the late John W. and Ada Jean Gawthrop Peters. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Peters, September 26, 2011.

He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. George was with Local Union 152 Pipe Fitters, Morgantown. He was a 52 year member of Grafton Lodge # 15 A.F. & A.M., His hobbies were farming, fishing, being outdoors on his tractor taking care of his  cattle, he enjoyed being with his family and especially his grand and great grandchildren.

George is survived by three daughters, Brenda Morgan and husband Roy, Grafton, Barbara McDaniel, and husband Chris, of York PA., Donna Workman and husband Randy, Clarksburg, four grandchildren, Steve Morgan and wife Gina, Craig McDaniel   and wife Lexi, Jaime McDaniel, Brett Phillips, four great grandchildren, Olivia McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Elena McDaniel, Hadley Morgan, one brother, James Peters and wife Betty, MI., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Peters.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 3-8PM. and on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM with Rev Jim Lang officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
