David Lee Bell, 70 of Grafton passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1948 in Grafton, a son of the late William S. and Clara Bell Bolyard. He is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Janet Starr Stevens Bell whom he married January 16, 1971.
David was a US Army serving during the Vietnam War and was a combat veteran. He worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Grafton City Hospital until his early retirement due to his illness. David was an avid WVU Fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Janet Nicole Bell McDaniel and husband Bill, Angela Kay Bell and fiancé Josh all of Grafton; six grandchildren of which he loved dearly, Mark A. Watton, Kaymn M. Johns, Nicholas M. Watton, Johathan D. Watton, Kaylee Starr Johns and Lilliawna D. Hall; one brother, Larry P. Bell and wife Betty of GA; one sister, MaryAvaDelle Stemple and husband Charles of Thornton.
He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Stephanie Lee Bell, one infant grandson, David Allan Bell, one brother, William T. Bell
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Funeral services will at 11:00AM on Friday July 5, 2019 with Doug Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery where Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WVA DAV Chapter 24, and their Auxiliaries, and the Honor Guard from Camp Dawson.
