Clifton Eugene “Corky” Knotts, 62 of Grafton passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 with his family by his side at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born September 17, 1955 in Clarksburg, son of the late Clifford and Thelma Maxine Sines Knotts, Clifton was preceded in death by his wife Alexis Marie Knotts February 1, 2008.
He graduated from Flemington High School where he played basketball and baseball. He worked on his dad’s farm in Flemington. He retired from Fourco Glass in 2008. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren. Corky was Baptist by faith and member of the Union Baptist Church in Simpson, WV
Clifton is survived by one daughter, Shaela M. Duckworth and husband Jeremy, Grafton, two sons, Nakoa David Knotts and wife McKenzie, Clarksville, TN, Clinton Alexander Knotts, Grafton; one granddaughter, Emari; four grandsons, Avery, Cameron, Adrian, and Nakoa; five siblings, Sandra Knotts McCord and husband Lloyd "Gene", Flemington, Donnice Knotts McKinney and husband Tom, Flemington, Jeff Knotts and wife Tina, Grafton, Joette Knotts Sheppard and husband Dennis, Grafton, Jacqueline Knotts Swiger and husband Scott Grafton; several nieces and nephews; companion, Wilda Maxwell, Grafton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one nephew, Joshua Ray McKinney.
Family and Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 2-8 PM and on Thursday, December 14, 2107 from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM with Father Jim O’Conner officiating.
