Andrew (Andy) Alexander Rowand

Andrew Alexander (Andy)  Rowand 78 of Grafton, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Grafton City Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born in Independence,WV. May 9, 1941,  son of the late Andrew and Ruth Jane Weaver Rowand. Andy is survived by his wife Rita Jean Miller Rowand.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, watching the Mountaineers and Steelers and playing his guitar and singing, loved to ride motorcycles, and coach powderpuff football, was with the Taylor County EMS for many years. Andy never knew a stranger,  always ready to lend a helping hand.

Andy is survived by three children, Tim Rowand, Mark Rowand and Crystal Garrett and husband Bryan, seven grandchildren, Robby, Chad, Emily and Chris, Abby, Drew and Lara, Zach, and Grace, three great grandchildren, Jaden, Percy, Brink, sister-in-law, Beverly Shoop and brother-in-law, John Lynn Miller, special family and friends, Freida Gay McDaniel, Tia McDaniel, and Dan Velloso.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, father-in-law, Chester Miller, mother-in-law, Francis Russell, and father-in-law John Russell, sister-in-law, Sandra Sachetti, brother-in-law, Randy Miller.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton on Wednesday June 5, 2019   from 2-7PM. Private graveside service will will be at the Gladesville Cemetery.
