Madalene Ruth Snyder

Madalene Ruth Snyder 92, of Grafton, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Taylor Healthcare Center Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born in Flemington on March 31, 1931, daughter of the late Gordon and Carrie Eckels McCauley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Farrel Monroe Snyder, SR., March 15, 2002.

Madalene graduated from Flemington High School, Class of 1949. She attended and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Grafton. She liked working with her flowers and crocheting making many treasured keepsakes. Madelene enjoyed being a homemaker making special meals and baking treats for others to enjoy. Her greatest joy was her family and loved the time she spent with each of them.

Madalene is survived by four children Michael Snyder (Holly), Farrel Snyder (Cheryl) Vickie Mooney, Randal Snyder all of Grafton, six grandchildren, Scott, Justin and Erica, Brittany and D.J., Michael and Amber, Tommy and Stephanie and Matt, eight great grandchildren, Adalyn, Jacob, Gage, Lilly Iris, Marigold, Rosemary and Issac; one son- law, John Marsh, Philippi; several nieces and nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, Madalene was preceded in death by, one daughter, Brenda Marsh, one son, Danny Snyder, two sisters, Dorothy Bolyard, Margaret Moore, two brothers, Wayne McCauley and Roland E. (Doc) McCauley.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM and Friday March 22, 2024 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Tom Horne officiating.
