Fred "Freddie" Wilmer Adams Jr.

Fred “Freddie” Wilmer Adams Jr., 80, of Grafton passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Grafton City Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Grafton, August 30, 1943, son of the late Fred W. and Florence Jane Hamilton Adams. Freddie is survived by his wife Ethel Shumaker Adams whom he married on June 16, 2001 spending more than twenty -two years together.

Freddie was very well known for his ability of tearing down and cleaning up buildings in the area. He was a hard worker and no job was too big for him to take on and finish. Freddie did not know a stranger, he made friends where ever he went. He enjoyed being with his friends and family. His family was his greatest blessing and he enjoyed all the times he spent with each of them.

In addition to his wife Freddie is survived by three sons, Fred W. Adams III (Christa), Jason R. Adams and Paul Adams; one daughter, Sherry (Shawn); six grandchildren including, Lilly, Paul Jr., Hope, Eddie, Brittany and Buddy; one great grandson Hunter; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Freddie is preceded in death by one daughter, Jenny Adams and his baby sister.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Randy Swiger officiating. Interment will follow at Bluemont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his Care Fund on his memorial page.
